CSS and CARP

CSS AND CARP

Overview

The meaning of CARP; the C stands for contrast, the A stands for alignment, the R stands for repetition, the P stands for proximity.  This project was the second web project that I have done for e9. For this project, we were given a folder with three different files, HTML, image, and CSS. After I got the files I had to copy the HTML file.  The HTML file copy had the CSS and the original HTML did not have the CSS . All the style information went to the briannascottpoem2 file.

Contrast

The CSS styles added a contrast of different colors. The CSS styles also added a variety of fonts types, so that the web page is more interesting.

Alignment

The alignment for my project was a little off in the body section and the dog photo, However. the rest of the page's spacing was improved because of the CSS styles. The Title was centered and the rest of the text was aligned to the left side of the page. This caused the web page to look more formal.

Repetition

The repetition of the web project was improved by the CSS styles by giving the web page a veneration of fonts and sizes of words in an organized way.

 Proximity

The proximity of the web project was improved by the CSS styles by giving me the information to create different spacing through out the web page. The different spacing made the web page more appealing to look at. The adding of the CSS also made it easier to separately see the sub heading from the main heading.

Conclusion

I learned how to add all of the CSS information
into Dream Weaver to make the web page have  a variety of color and font. The web project was not one of my favorite  projects. Parts of the instructions were a little confusing. I messed up on the spacing of the information in the body and the placement of the dog. But other than that I think I did every thing else right. I learned what CARP meant and I came use that for future projects.

Ghost Chase

Ghost chase video

What was the assignment?

This assignment was to make a video that included a chase scene. The video also had to have the six shots incorporated through out the video. The video had to show that the 180 degree was used. The had to show the rule of thirds also.

Process

The first step for making this video was to get storyboards and with three other people in my group come up with ideas for the video. After we desisted on a story we filled out the storyboard. Then we went to film but the place we were going to film that occupied at the time. However, we imper-vised and found a different place to film. After all the shots were shot, I loaded them onto my computer. Then using Adobe Premiere, I edited the clips and put them together to make one video. After the video was edited, I loaded the video onto YouTube and Google Classroom.

What I learned

I learned how to work with three other people, each with very with different ideas and work habits. I also learned how to film a chase scene.

What I would do different? What I would do the same?

I would spend more time on the storyboard. I also would have liked to have more time to put the video together. I would have added music but I didn't have the time. I still don't know how to add music. I would keep how we had placed the camera behind plants and railing, which I think gave a cool affect.

What experiences will I draw from to enhance your next project?

I think how my group and I made the chase seen between the ghost and Jackson, would be good to reference off of for my next project. I think I also need to work on time management some more to help me finish future projects more efficiently.

General thoughts and concussions

When first starting this video and through out making the video there were points were the group got of track. This caused us to rush film the video clips. I think we could have used our time more efficiently. I would have liked to have added music but I still need to find out how to. The video turned out to be decent.
