A To B Sequencing

A TO B SEQUENCING VIDEO PROJECT 2

What Was The Assignment?

The assignment was to make a video that had A to B sequencing. A to B sequencing is to start or be in one place and then move to another place. With in the A to B sequencing the six shots had to be incorporated. The shot that was to be used the most was close up and extreme close up.

The Process

The process in making this video took four days. On the first day teams of two people were made by the teacher randomly drawing names from a cup. Once the teams were all made, the next step was to collaborate with each other on what the video was going to be about. My partner and I worked on the storyboard as we collaborated. After the story board was finished and checked by the teacher. We checked out a Ipad and a tripod. I first filmed my partners' scenes for the video using the six shots and the 180 degree rule. The next day my partner filmed my scenes. Then we set up the camera then filmed the scenes with both of us in the shot. Once all the shots were done, I loded the videos onto my computer. Using Adobe Premier, I edited all of my clips together to make my one video. Lastly, I posted the video on Google Classroom and YouTube.

What I Learn Along The Way?

I learned how to use A to B sequencing in videos. I also learned that it takes a long time to film and place the camera in all the places you need. I also learned how to make a interesting "travel" video using the six shots more that one time. I learned that more than half of the shots should always some type of close up or extreme close up.

What I Would Do Different? What Would I Do The Same?

For my next video I would like to learn how to add sound. I would also work on better extreme close ups. For my next video I will keep how my partner and I made the storyboard. The way we shot the clips by doing one persons scenes first and then the other persons scenes. This helped with managing time for this project.

What Experiences Will I Draw From To Enhance Your Project?

I should add some more wide establishing shots and just close up shots. It is good to always to have the camera on the same side for every shot.

General Thoughts And Conclusions.

The collaboration on the storyboard was good.  I would have also liked to have some more class time to edit my video. Work on the rule of thirds some more.
